Gelati - a Mediterranean summer ritual, and the inspiration behind our latest Summer Sandal Collection

Call it what you will - gelati, gelato, helado - the fact remains that we're missing this delectable Spanish treat this summer! For our family, it's not a trip to Spain without our evening walks along the esplanade, with a gelati in hand to combat the heat.

For us, Spanish life means waking from siesta, stretching into the warmth of the evening, and gently edging towards a night of food, family and laughter.

 But first comes gelati. Every time.

 “Before dinner?” I hear you ask.

Si, si, and why not? Life is precious, life is beautiful, life is short. Eat the gelati first.

In fact, our latest range of traditional handmade Menorca sandals were inspired by Spain’s most delicious gelati, or helado. The colours, the feelings, the memories of our gelati meanderings, were all poured with love into our most recent offering. 

And the result? A feminine summer sandal. A gelati range of perfection.

While we can't physically walk the streets of Spain just yet, our wandering hearts will remember and wait quietly for the moment when our dreams can become plans... and in the meantime, we asked one of our wonderful customers to do the meandering for us, and to send a pic!
